3. Information we collect
Information you provide: your name, email, phone number, company name if you give one, the content of an enquiry, and details about a financial-advice practice where that is relevant to the work.
Information collected automatically is limited. This site stores your cookie choice in local storage on your device. We do not run third-party analytics or marketing tags unless you have opted in and a tool has been switched on. If that happens, it may include pages visited and basic device data such as browser type.
4. How we use your information
- To answer enquiries. Legitimate interests in replying to a request, or contract when we are discussing a possible engagement.
- To provide services. Contract, for paraplanning, coaching and administrative support you have asked us to carry out.
- To improve the website. Legitimate interests, and consent where an optional analytics cookie is involved.
- To meet legal obligations. Where UK law requires us to keep or disclose information.
6. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens we rely on an appropriate safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any required transfer risk assessment.
7. Retention
- Enquiries. Contact submissions are kept for up to 2 years unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Client work. Information about a completed engagement is kept for 6 years after it ends, in line with common professional record-keeping.
- Marketing. Preferences are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion.
- Legal duties. Some records are kept longer where the law requires it.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact hello@finsolo.co.uk or call 07456 755 889. We respond within one month, and will tell you if a complex request needs up to two further months.
10. Security
We use encryption in transit, limit who can see enquiry data, and agree a secure route for client files. No internet transmission is perfectly secure. We protect information carefully and do not promise that unauthorised access is impossible.
11. Children
Our services are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided some and we will delete it.
